How To Stop Bad Breath 
Most people who suffer from bad breath will do anything to get rid of bad breath. But if it’s that easy to fix bad breath why are there so people wandering around with chronic bad breath?
If your smelly breath isn’t the result of a medical condition then it’s easier and simpler to eliminate bad breath.
Firstly, watch what you eat and secondly use a healthy and regular oral hygiene routine.
Before we get into these two simple remedies let’s look at the common causes of bad breath.

The most common cause of bad breath is food particles stuck between your teeth and gums from eating. Bacteria builds and builds. It becomes stale or toxic or both and gets trapped in your breath as it leaves your mouth.

Another common cause of bad breath is people who are on a rich high protein diet. It’s too much for the body to digest and if not eliminated from the body as waste or perspiration, leaves the body as bad breath. Your body is just doing it’s job trying to keep you healthy.
People who have a less acidic, or more alkaline diet, rich in fresh fruits and vegetables are less likely to have bad breath or require bad breath treatments. Their diet helps to keep their bodies, mouths and digestive systems fresh and clean.

It’s not difficult to get rid of bad breath. But if you have a medical condition such as diabetes, gastric disorders or any other medical condition then you should first speak to your doctor before self medicating to stop your bad breath.
The result could have side effects far worse than your bad breath.
As mentioned above the main cause of bad breath is bacteria feeding off of food particles caught between your teeth and gums.
This may sound like common sense but you would not believe the number of people who fail to get this first step right: invest in a good bad breath products – that’s a good toothbrush, some good quality floss and diligently brushing and flossing your teeth after meals and before going to bed.
Don’t over do it and wear away your tooth enamel or scar your gums but be thorough and see if that makes a difference.
You may want to add another step if your bad breath is very smelly; cleaning your tongue. You don’t have to buy a special piece of equipment, you can easily use your toothbrush to brush your tongue and scrape off tiny food particles and bacteria. But if you want to you can buy a tongue cleaner or scraper. They are easy to get and don’t cost the earth.
Why? Well, the same bacterium that has buried itself between your teeth, under your gums and on the walls of your mouth are also inhabiting on your tongue.
So brush and floss if you can after each meal and before going to bed and soon your bad breath should be under control.
While not totally necessary a disinfecting mouthwash is a good temporary measure if you want to speed up the process. Why should a bad breath mouthwash be temporary? Because you need bacteria in your mouth.
You have bacteria all over your body; you need it. Killing all the bacteria will result in more bad breath not less.
Smoking causes bad breath. No surprises there. If you want to get rid of bad breath then giving up smoking is a must. But if your smoking addiction is too strong then invest in stronger mints and mouth spray to cover the cumulative smoke smell inhabiting not only your mouth but your clothes, hair and skin.
When you have bad breath from smoking there’s not a lot you can do about the smell seeping out from the very skin you live in.
Drinking excessive alcohol also contributes to bad breath. It’s not only the alcohol but all the sugar festering away in your gut. Your body can’t cope and it simmers away looking for an escape rout.
If you drink a lot your breath will smell like alcohol hours after you have brushed, flossed and used breath fresheners.
These are simple ways to fix bad breath. Treat your bad breath as serious and it will leave you like an unwanted guest within a few days. If not a visit to your dentist and doctor should be your next step.
