The first place to investigate is your diet.

Think. Has your breath being smelly for a while or did the change recently?

Many causes of bad breath start in the mouth and your dentist is the best person to give your mouth a health check. You could have simple oral bacteria from not brushing or flossing correctly, a bad tooth or teeth or gum disease.

These can lead to other more serious conditions, infecting other parts of the body. So it’s best not to put it off and fix whatever is wrong now.

After all a small dental filling is better than lose a tooth or getting infected gums, don’t you think?

But if your dentist can’t find the cause of your bad breath then it’s time to visit your doctor.


Doctor

Your doctor can not only find the cause of your bad breath but also the best bad breath remedy for you, especially if you’re taking medication.

But you may convince yourself that none of these steps are necessary. You may hate dentists – the sound of the drill or getting up close and personal with a needle. You may even talk yourself out of seeing your doctor.

If that’s the case then here are two bad breath remedies to use.

They may or may not get rid of your bad breath totally, no promises made, but they certainly can’t hurt while you’re investigating your diet, dentist and doctor.

Apart from regular brushing and flossing, a major cause of bad breath is a dry mouth. If you don’t drink enough water, chances are that your bad breath is due to an accumulation of oral bacteria in your mouth.

If these aren’t flushed out of your system, then within days oral bacteria can become toxic and your breath smells.

Hydrating to flush out bodily toxins body is very important; starting in the mouth. Make sure you drink at least eight glasses of water per day.

Coffee, tea and alcohol not only don’t count but mean you should increase your eight glasses upwards accordingly to ten or twelve glasses of water.  

If this seems too hard then eat more fruit and vegetables which are mostly water and a great way to get water into your body.


Change What You Eat and How You Eat!

Consuming a lot of meat and very little fresh fruits and vegetables could be causing your bad breath and an easy bad breath solution to fixing your bad breath. The body finds it hard to break down a lot of protein which also needs a lot of water to help break it down.

Eating more fresh food and less protein is a great bad breath remedy that really works, particularly for those who already brush and floss regularly and drink lots of water. Leave the meat balls and eat a salad.
